At about 16:00 on December 31, the Nansha Port Railway, a key project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area built by the 25th Bureau of China Railways and other units, was completed and opened to traffic.

Nansha Port Railway is a national class I, passenger and freight double-track electrified railway with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour and a total length of 89.24 kilometers. The line starts from the Yayao branch of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Railway and passes through 4 cities including Jiangmen, Foshan, Zhongshan, and Guangzhou. Nansha Port Area.

This is the first passenger-cargo dual-track railway to enter the Nansha Free Trade Zone, and it is also an important part of the freight channel in the western Pearl River Delta.
