The Central Bank issues 7 commemorative coins bearing the images of the founding fathers

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates announced the issuance of seven commemorative coins of silver in one case, in celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Federation of the United Arab Emirates, and in honor of the founding fathers, headed by the founder of the federation and the builder of the renaissance of the state, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God willing. God bless him

The Central Bank will offer 3,000 portfolios, each containing seven silver coins of 50 dirhams, weighing 28 grams each. Where the front side of the coin will bear a black and white picture of one of the founding fathers and another color picture of Their Highnesses, the members of the Supreme Council of the Union, the rulers of the Emirates. As for the reverse side of all these seven coins, it will bear the emblem of the fiftieth year surrounded by the name of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates in Arabic and English, in addition to the nominal value of the coin (50 dirhams).

 The black and white pictures of the founding fathers, the late, God willing, include Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Mualla, and Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi And Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi.

As for the colored pictures, they will be for His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, and Sheikh Hamad bin Muhammad Al Sharqi, may God protect them all.

The portfolio, which includes the seven commemorative coins, will be available for sale until stocks run out at the main headquarters of the Central Bank and all its branches in the country, at a price of 2,000 dirhams, starting from Monday, January 3, 2022.

On the occasion of launching the coins, Central Bank Governor Khaled Muhammad Balama said: "The issuance of these coins comes in honor of the great role played by the founding fathers in building the foundations of the union of the seven Emirates, and in support of the wise leadership's path that continues the founders' legacy in building a nation to which we are proud to belong."
