Since its launch in 2001, the Honda Civic Type R has been the darling of fans of small sports sedans thanks to its high performance.
The current generation, launched in 2017, has a 2-liter turbocharged engine developing some 320 hp.
The Japanese manufacturer has just revealed that the prototype of its replacement will be unveiled at the next Tokyo Motor Show, which will take place from January 14 to 16.
A presentation video filmed on the Suzuka circuit will accompany him on the stand.
While no technical details have been revealed, Honda is already announcing that the new Civic Type R will be the most efficient generation ever produced, and that it will retain a 6-speed manual transmission.
On the few photos already revealed, we can see that the sedan will obviously be bodybuilt compared to its normal version, and that it will have 3 central exhaust outlets.
