According to the Japan Food Service Association, last month's sales of major restaurant chains nationwide fell 0.2% compared to the same month last year, almost the same as the previous month.



On the other hand, it decreased by 8.2% compared to the adult before the spread of the infection.



By type of business, demand for take-out and home delivery for “fast food” increased by 1.9% from last year, while demand for “family restaurants” slowed down at night and decreased by 4.8%.



In addition, "pubs and izakaya" can now be open even during midnight hours, so the number of customers returned and decreased by 3.2%, a significant improvement in the rate of decrease compared to the past.



However, it has decreased by 48.1% compared to the adult, and the severe business conditions such as izakaya continue.



According to the Japan Food Service Association, "Sales are on a recovery trend, but there are concerns about the spread of Omicron strains, and the situation is unpredictable."
