According to reports, the city has 42 key rare earth projects under construction throughout the year, with a total investment of 12.9 billion yuan. The number of projects under construction and the total investment are the largest in history.

  Wang Xiulian said that as of now, Baotou City has signed 54 rare earth industry projects this year and 49 rare earth projects are under discussion. More than 60 projects will be signed for the whole year, and the agreement funds will exceed 26 billion yuan.

At present, 6 of the top ten rare earth magnetic materials companies in the country have settled in Baotou.
