The scientific name of rattan tea is Xiantooth Snake Grape, commonly known as berry tea and white tea. It is called "Ancient Tea Uncaria" in the Book of Songs. It is a vine plant that was born on the rocky slopes of Wuling Mountain.

Laifeng is "the first county of rattan tea in China", with a long history of growing and drinking rattan tea locally.

Now the company's rattan tea products are sold to more than 20 provinces and cities across the country, with annual sales of 90 million yuan.

  “We provide farmers with scientific planting technology and bio-organic fertilizers. Farmers plant according to requirements and standards. Production capacity and farmers' income have increased significantly.

  “In the past, we grew rice and corn, and we ate very tightly and had no income. Life was not easy.” A villager from Shadaowan village told Guoying that she and her husband could only guard one mu of their own family. It is impossible to get rich by dividing land. Nowadays, five or six acres of rattan tea are planted, and there is a steady income of tens of thousands of yuan each year.

  Shadaowan Village is located in the west of Baifusi Town, Laifeng County, with 8 cents of farmland per capita.

The village developed more than 2,000 mu of rattan tea planting bases in accordance with local conditions, with an average income of more than 5,000 yuan per mu, and became an important "pushman" for local farmers to get rid of poverty and become rich.

In 2017, Shadaowan Village achieved the whole village.

  In 2018, Xiang Guoying pushed down the stone house he had lived in for decades and built a new two-story house.

There are green plants in the front yard of the new house and ducks in the back yard. The room is spacious and bright, and the house is equipped with a TV, refrigerator, washing machine, gas stove, and water purifier.

  "After the beginning of the year, I will rent a few more acres of land to grow tea, and my income can increase by tens of thousands." Xiang Guoying believes that in the future, the life of the whole family will be like rattan tea. sweet.

  In fact, rattan tea is not the industry of a village in Shadaowan Village, but the "pillar" of Laifeng, Fumin, and strong county.

  According to Yang Mao, deputy magistrate of Laifeng County, the county is currently developing a planting area of ​​80,000 mu of rattan tea, a total of 46 rattan tea cooperatives, 31 rattan tea primary processing plants, and leading enterprises such as Laifeng Jinqitengcha Biological Co., Ltd. A total of 69 products in four major series have been developed. More than 10,000 farmers in more than 100 villages are engaged in rattan tea planting and related industries. The comprehensive output value of rattan tea exceeds 1 billion yuan.

  “Without industrial revitalization, there would be no rural revitalization. Rattan tea and Huangjing are the leading industries in Laifeng, and they are also important carriers for the consolidation of the poverty alleviation results.” Laifeng County Party Secretary Li Wei said that Laifeng will highlight its advantages and base its characteristics on the whole industry.
