As of Monday morning, December 20, the Israeli government banned its nationals from visiting several European countries, including France.
The aim is to slow the spread in Israel of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.

Even if the figures are not yet very high, the rate of contamination is doubling every two days,
" the Israeli prime minister said at a press conference.
And to call on parents to have their children vaccinated as soon as possible.
As of this Monday morning, the Israeli government places
several European countries
on its "
red list
", notably France, but also the favorite destination of Israelis at present: the United Arab Emirates.
With prohibition for Israeli nationals to go there under penalty of heavy fines.

The United States soon to be on the list
Passengers from these countries will be required to adhere to a quarantine of up to two weeks and in some cases in Corona hotels.
In the coming days, the United States, Canada and Germany are also expected to join this list of countries.
This will be equivalent to hermetically closing the borders of the country.
Further measures are expected to be announced within 24 hours.
