According to reports, Shanghai has opened up a total of 372 722.6 kilometers of roads in the whole area of Jiading New City and the whole area of 386 in Lingang New Area, adding more than 7,000 measurable traffic scenes.
Among them, the opening of some sections of Lianggang Avenue in Lingang New Area indicates that Shanghai allows intelligent networked vehicles to carry out road testing activities on urban expressways.
At present, Shanghai has opened a total of 615 test roads of 1289.83 kilometers, and the number of test roads ranks first in the country.
The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Transportation also issued two "Implementation Plan for the Expansion of Application Scenarios for Demonstration of Intelligent Connected Vehicles in Shanghai" and "Notice on Organizing the Application for the Expansion of Demonstration Application Scenarios of Intelligent Connected Vehicles in Shanghai". The document focuses on exploring the commercial path of demonstration applications in 7 application scenarios, including smart rental, smart bus, smart logistics, unmanned retail, unmanned distribution, sightseeing connection, and unmanned cleaning.
The Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission stated that it will strive to explore a set of replicable and extendable "Shanghai Plan" in 2 to 3 years, realize more than 10 participating companies, demonstrate the application of more than 100 intelligent networked vehicles, and cover more than 1,000 roads. In an interview with reporters, Lu Feng, director of the Transportation Committee of Jiading District, Shanghai, pointed out that after the introduction of the standard system framework, car companies have relatively unified standards for intelligent testing, laying a solid foundation for the development of higher-level intelligent transportation in the future. .
