In response, Mikio Sasaki, chairman of the Japan-Korea Economic Association, emphasized that "although there are no signs of improvement in Japan-Korea relations, mutual understanding between Japanese and Korean business people is firmly tied together." He also acknowledged that cooperation in decarbonization, which is a common issue between Japan and South Korea, is extremely important for improving relations.
