On August 12, after more than two years of hard work by railway builders, the Dazhuang Tunnel of Yunnan Mai (Luxury)-Mongolia (Zi) high-speed railway was successfully completed. So far, all 10 tunnels across the line have been completed, laying a solid foundation for the opening and operation of 2022.
The Dazhuang Tunnel is located in Kaiyuan City, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, with a total length of 2.7 kilometers. It is a double-track railway tunnel with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour and the last through tunnel on the entire line.
The Mi-Mongolia high-speed railway starts from the Yun-Gui Railway Maitreya Station in the north, passes through Maitreya City and Kaiyuan City in the south, and ends at Mengzi City, the capital of Honghe Prefecture.
