Sales of toilet paper, which is more than 1.5 times longer than before, are increasing.

Paper makers are also focusing on manufacturing and sales because the number of replacements is reduced and the storage space at home is also reduced.

According to major paper manufacturers, sales of toilet paper with a longer roll length than before have increased by 10% to 30% over the past year.

The longer rolls mean that consumers are buying more because they need less toilet paper to replace and less storage space at home.

For paper manufacturers as well, the longer the rolls and the fewer rolls, the more quantity can be delivered at one time, which leads to more efficient transportation and lower costs.

For this reason, manufacturers are focusing on manufacturing and selling long types of toilet paper, and from this month, Nippon Paper Crecia has switched to long types of toilet paper for sale.

Kazufumi Yamazaki, president of Nippon Paper Crecia, said, "Reducing the number of rolls will lead to a reduction in waste such as packaging and cores."
