China News Service, April 1 (Reporter Yin Liqin) On March 31, the Shanghai Urban and Rural Construction and Transportation Development Research Institute officially released the "2020 Shanghai Comprehensive Transportation Operation Annual Report."

It is reported that in 2020, Shanghai area license plates and new energy license plates will grow rapidly, and the promotion of new energy vehicles will hit a record high.

In addition, Shanghai has accelerated the construction of a new pattern of integration in the Yangtze River Delta, completed a number of major planning preparations, and made the top-level design more complete.

The "2020 Shanghai Comprehensive Transportation Operation Annual Report" also shows that the development of new cities has become a major strategic choice for Shanghai to integrate into the new development pattern. However, with the higher positioning of the benchmark node cities, there is still much room for improvement in urban functions and comprehensive transportation systems. .

According to the "Shanghai Comprehensive Transportation Operation Annual Report 2020", in the past year, Shanghai area license plates and new energy license plates have grown rapidly.

According to statistics, by 2020, the city has registered 4.69 million motor vehicles, of which 3.971 million are passenger cars, an increase of 267,000 over the same period last year.

The number of license plates in the urban area increased by 115,000 units year-on-year; the number of Shanghai C license plates increased by 50,000 units year-on-year.

It is worth mentioning that in 2020, the number of new energy vehicles promoted in Shanghai is 121,000, a record high, and the cumulative number of promotion has reached 424,000.

On the whole, Shanghai and new energy license plates with city-wide access rights continue to grow rapidly, with a total increase of 217,000 vehicles, 1.5 times that of 2019.

However, the growth rate of Shanghai C number plates, which have the right of passage in some areas, has slowed down significantly.

Also affected by the increase in the total number of passenger cars, the pressure on urban parking has increased.

To this end, Shanghai has promoted shared smart parking in an orderly manner. In 2020, a total of 168 shared parking projects will be created, with a scale of 8,887 berths, and a total of 31,300 shared berths.

Among them, projects serving residential communities account for 80% of the number of berths implemented.

In addition, Shanghai’s public parking management platform was officially put into use last year. After the “Shanghai Parking” APP was launched, it has covered more than 4,300 public parking garages and toll road parking lots in the city’s 890,000 public berths, gradually realizing online payment and With the support of credit payment methods, the digital and intelligent level of parking services and management has been further improved.
