The Seniors Civic Solidarity Service is recruiting 2,000 young people aged 16 to 25 to take care of seniors at home or in institutions.

It is possible to apply with "any level of study", assures Europe 1 Marie Trellu-Kane, president of the association and founder of Unis-Cité. 

Entering active life by training, while committing to a mission of general interest: the advantages of civic service are known.

And right now, there are many vacancies.

The Seniors Civic Solidarity Service is therefore looking for 2,000 young people to support 45,000 seniors.

, on Europe 1, Marie Trellu-Kane, president of the association and founder of Unis-Cité, detailed the criteria for applying. 

"Any level of study"

"We are looking for any young person between 16 and 25 years old who wants to help and help isolated elderly people at home or in an institution, and who would be generally available three days a week, or even full time", she explains.

These commitments are "about eight months on average", and these positions are to be filled all over France.

Note that for people with disabilities, recruitment can go up to 30 years.

Important detail, it is possible to apply with "any level of study", assures Marie Trellu-Kane.

These positions are compensated between 580 and 680 euros per month, and are accompanied by training to prepare.

Without counting "the exchanges of practices between young people, the accompaniment of the course", lists the guest of Europe 1, who recalls that an experience in civic service "can allow to discover its way".

"A very strong human experience" 

In detail, the missions asked of the young people recruited are simple: "Going to visit people who are sometimes isolated at home, help them to walk, intervene in establishments for collective activities, make room visits". 

"It's a very strong human experience," emphasizes Marie Trellu-Kane.

And according to him, civic service constitutes a real opening on the labor market, with "82% of young people who, on leaving civic service, are in employment or in training, while a large number had no diploma at all ".
