[Commentary] On March 25, the media preview of Sotheby's Hong Kong Spring Auction 2021 was held in Hong Kong.

The leading lot this season is the three Ming and Qing imperial seals. One of them is the imperial imperial jade seal of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty Jiaolong button white jade seal, which is valued at HK$125 million to 180 million, making it the most highly valued jade seal in auction history.

  [Explanation] It is reported that the leading exhibits of this spring auction are the most highly valued seals in the history of auctions, the empress of Yongleren Xiaowen in Ming dynasty, Qingyu dragon button, Emperor Kangxi imperial sandalwood exotic animal button seal, Qianlong imperial treasure Jiaolong button white jade seal, Sanfang Yu The total valuation of Xi is over 230 million Hong Kong dollars.

  [Explanation] Li Jia, a senior expert at Sotheby’s Chinese Art Department, said that the imperial seal of Empress Xiaowen of Yongleren in the Ming Dynasty has been placed in the Taimiao for enshrinement. However, due to the change of Ming and Qing Dynasties, it experienced fire and was destroyed. It can be said to be the only solitary seal left in the Ming Dynasty.
