Questioned on the subject during his visit to Europe Matin on Monday, the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, assured that the government was "open" to the release of new aid for students.

"For many students there are no longer odd jobs, more resources to be able to afford housing. Parents can no longer pay the 10, 20 or 50 euros needed per month", admitted the tenant of Bercy , while recalling the measures already taken by the executive.

"We have provided a number of responses, on the meal voucher and on additional financial aid."

Before ensuring: "All concrete proposals that would allow students to spend better this period, we [will] always be open".
