  In order to actively fulfill its responsibilities and obligations as a headquarters city, the Shanghai Municipal Government has invested in the construction of the headquarters building of the New Development Bank and established a special construction headquarters to promote the construction of the headquarters building.

The headquarters building has a total construction area of ​​126,000 square meters. Since the start of construction in September 2017, it has been successfully completed in three years and is scheduled to be delivered in September 2021.

In the early stage, the headquarters building has successfully passed the China Green Three-Star Building and China Health Three-Star Building certification.

  It is understood that the New Development Bank is an intergovernmental international financial organization initiated and established by the "BRIC countries".

Since its opening in July 2015, the New Development Bank has approved projects with a scale of approximately US$25 billion, covering infrastructure, clean energy, transportation, and environmental protection.
