Deputy Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki and Minister of Strategy and Finance said today (17th) that "we are preparing and aiming to finish all reviews this month and start payments from January" regarding the 3rd disaster support fund paid to small businesses.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong said at a briefing on the direction of economic policy in 2021 held at the government office in Seoul today, "The government is under the name of measures to support damage to small businesses rather than disaster subsidies."

He said, "In the process of consultation with the relevant ministries, the Ministry of Information and Communication supported the damage in several ways, including 3 trillion won + 3 trillion won (plus alpha) reflected in the National Assembly. "We are considering measures."

He added, "There is a case of small business owners' hope fund support for small business owners last time, and these cases will be reviewed together."

Deputy Prime Minister Hong said, "Regarding the recent rent, however, the government has provided cash support for small business owners up to 1 million won for general businesses and 2 million won for collective prohibited businesses. Cash is used not only for rent, but also for other utility bills and management funds "There were no restrictions," he said. "For those who have difficulty in rent, I think it helped a lot in paying the rent."

He continued, "I know well that the burden on the prohibited/restricted industries has increased as the number of corona19 confirmed patients has increased recently." It will be included in the countermeasures and checked together.”

Deputy Prime Minister Hong said, "When the review is completed, we will announce it at an appropriate time."
