The power but also the Iranians scrutinize the polls very closely.

Most Iranians believe that

Joe Biden's

victory

will be better for the country, after several years

of maximum pressure from the Trump administration

against Iran.

“

I think Trump or Biden's victory will have a lot of consequences.

The nuclear deal was signed in Democrat days and it was the Republicans who left it and imposed sanctions.

I think the government also prefers to negotiate with the Democrats,

 ”said Hassan, a 70-year-old retiree.

For Payam, an executive in his 50s, another victory for Trump could bring the two countries to a confrontation: “

We think that if it's Biden, it will be better to improve the current situation of the country.

If Trump is re-elected, he might have a freer hand and do what he hasn't done yet, even though he has done a lot already.

But it could even go as far as war or a direct face to face

.

"

The majority of Iranians are already betting on a victory for Biden.

A sign that is not mistaken, the Iranian currency has regained part of its

lost value against the dollar

in recent months.
