Guide to measures against telework information leakage of small and medium-sized enterprises New Corona September 11th 13:44

In order to ensure the information security of small and medium-sized enterprises that introduce telework as a countermeasure against the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has created a new guide showing measures to prevent information leakage due to cyber attacks.

This guide was compiled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to help small and medium-sized enterprises that do not have a person in charge of security measures to take safety measures when introducing telework.

Among them, the teleworking method is classified into 8 types according to the environment, such as whether the personal computer used is provided by the company or owned by an individual.

On top of that, we assume cyber attacks for each category and show important countermeasures that are prioritized.

In addition, we explain the points to note when setting up three typical video conferencing systems used in telework.

Telework has been introduced among small and medium-sized enterprises to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, but it has been pointed out that there is a risk of information leakage if the safety of personal computers and video conferencing systems is inadequate.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications intends to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to use the guide to create an environment where they can telework with peace of mind and support its introduction.
