On a day when a critical agreement is expected for companies with the Government and unions in the framework of social dialogue to extend the ERTE until September, Garamendi has indicated that, as a general summary, that employers trust that their voice has reached clearly "to society and the Government.

In any case, CEOE will send the Executive the conclusions of a summit in which around 130 presidents and top executives from all over the Spanish business scene represented by its main sectors and at all scales and territories have participated.

Isla has been in charge of summarizing the conclusions of everything discussed at this summit , among which he stressed that "it is a medium and long-term mission to carry out the necessary investments to make Spain a more competitive country." The manager has pointed out the need to make investments in sustainability.

Restore confidence

It is necessary "to regain confidence through legal certainty, to attract and retain investments," said Isla, for whom, it is through these investments "that employment is generated."

Isla has said that it is necessary to promote social dialogue because "consensus is essential to face the crisis." He also highlighted the need to achieve a regulatory framework "more flexible and adapted to changes in the Spanish economy" and to eliminate "bureaucratic obstacles."

He highlighted the need to "preserve the productive fabric" and for this "it is necessary to preserve the lines that are working, such as the ERTE", and adapt them to the needs. Among the conclusions, Isla highlights the need for reindustrialization, to achieve that it represents 20% of GDP. "The territories that exceed that figure will have less unemployment," he said.

Lastly, he insists on budgetary stability, for which "economic growth must be promoted." "We have to have more Europe. Spain has to bet on Europe, and that implies responsibility on our part in terms of structural reforms," ​​he said.
