On May 11th, China Judgment Documents Network showed that the Guangdong Higher People's Court made the second trial of (2018) Yuemin Zhong No. 1132 on August 30, 2019, maintaining the intellectual property rights of Guangzhou. The first judgment of the court in the first instance found that Ningbo Aosheng Trading Co., Ltd. (formerly Ningbo Aox Air Conditioning Co., Ltd.) had been maliciously infringed, and the latter judged that Zhuhai Gree Electric Co., Ltd. should compensate 40 million yuan.
Subsequently, Aosheng refused to accept the judgment and filed a retrial request. However, in March this year, the Guangdong Higher People's Court announced that the original verdict was upheld. The case of Gree v. Oaks, which lasted more than three years, settled the case.
