More than 10 million employees, or more than one employee in the private sector out of two, are affected by partial unemployment, a "considerable" figure, announced Wednesday the Minister of Labor Muriel Pénicaud.

"This morning, in France, there are 10.2 million employees whose wages are paid by the State, by the Ministry of Labor," said Ms. Pénicaud on BFM Business, adding that this device used to deal with the coronavirus epidemic now affected 820,000 companies, or more than 6 in 10.
