“The Bank of Russia recommends that credit organizations from March 30 to April 3, 2020 carry out current activities in a mode similar to the work of a credit organization on New Year's holidays, if necessary, determine the list of duty branches,” the CBA said.

The regulator noted that information on the work schedule should be posted on the official website of the credit institution.

The Bank of Russia recalled that at the same time, credit organizations during the specified period normally carry out operations to issue money to legal entities for the payment of salaries and other social payments.

“The Bank of Russia recommends that banks ensure the operation of all remote services in terms of customer service, including the operation of ATMs and self-service devices, mobile banking systems and online transfers,” the department added.

On March 25, Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed a decree stating that in the country from March 28 to April 5 a non-working week is announced with salary remaining.

The decree does not apply to employees of continuously operating organizations, medical institutions and pharmacies.
