Al Zarooni Group has announced its support for qualified traders and tenants at Mercato and Town Center Jumeirah by exempting them from three-month rents, with an estimated total rental value for that period of approximately 25 million dirhams.

This initiative comes within the framework of the support and assistance program launched by the group to alleviate the financial burdens faced by retailers who have been affected by the repercussions associated with the spread of the emerging corona virus "Covid-19" worldwide. This step is also in line with the contributions made by government agencies as well as the private sector in Dubai to enable business groups and commercial stores to withstand the challenges of the status quo, and also to be ready to resume commercial activity with full force after passing this difficult and temporary phase that has cast a shadow on the economy of the whole world.
For his part, Abdul-Rahim Al-Zarouni, Chairman of the Board of Al-Zarouni Group said: “The retail sector is facing an exceptional and unprecedented situation with the repercussions of the spread of Corona virus on a large scale around the world, and we feel that our responsibility as a partner of the government is to help and contribute to addressing the repercussions of this situation by supporting tenants In the group's mall, who are currently experiencing financial difficulties. In the context of strengthening preventive measures, and as directed by the government recently, Mercato and Town Center Jumeirah will be closed, along with other shopping centers, for a period of two weeks as of March 25, while keeping the basic services represented in supermarkets, pharmacies and clinics open to provide their services to The public, while restaurants will only provide their meals through delivery service.

It is noteworthy that this exemption comes as an extension of the contributions of businessman Abdul Rahim Al Zarouni in facing the situation resulting from the outbreak of the Corona pandemic around the world, as he had previously donated 10 million dirhams to support the health care sector and help in the fight against the emerging corona virus "Covid-19" .
