China Mobile's performance report shows that China Mobile's 5G-related investment in 2019 is 24 billion yuan; the company's capital expenditure budget in 2020 is 199.8 billion yuan, of which 5G-related investment plan is 100 billion yuan.

China Unicom's capital expenditure in 2019 is 56.4 billion yuan, of which 5G-related investment is about 7.9 billion yuan; 2020 capital expenditure budget is 70 billion yuan, of which 5G-related investment plan is about 35 billion yuan.

Regarding the scale of 5G networks, China Telecom stated that by the end of February 2020, China Telecom had used more than 75,000 5G base stations. China Unicom has more than 60,000 5G base stations by the end of 2019.

In 2020, China Telecom and China Unicom will strive to complete the construction and sharing of 250,000 5G base stations in the third quarter, and achieve the goal of using 300,000 5G base stations throughout the year, covering all cities at and above the national level.

China Mobile said that in 2020, 250,000 5G base stations will be built to achieve 5G-scale commercial use in cities above the prefecture level.

At present, the three major telecom operators have started centralized procurement of main equipment for new construction of 5G core networks.

In terms of users, according to the performance report, by the end of February 2020, the number of China Telecom 5G package users has reached 10.73 million; China Mobile 5G package users have 15.4 million, a total of more than 26 million.
