Kaspersky, the company that specializes in technology, has warned that one of the malware has reappeared, the virus known as Trojan, which is a notorious program that is able to include fake SMS text messages in the application of SMS messages on smart phones, as the program exploits the conditions of the emerging Corona epidemic.

The company states, in a statement, that the Trojan, as soon as it is downloaded to the victim's phone, the victim begins receiving an order from the attacker behind him to open a web page entitled Coronavirus Finder, claiming that people near the user are infected with the virus.

The site requires the victim user to pay 0.75 euros in order to know the location of these injured people, if he agrees to transfer it to the payment page. However, entering the bank card details does not lead to collecting the amount from the victim user, nor to receiving any information about the alleged injured, but what actually happens is that the credit card details reach the hands of cyber criminals.

Ginp is a rapidly developing Trojan capable of constantly gaining new capabilities. In addition, the name of this latest version of the Trojan indicates that its developers plan to target other countries, after their goals in the past were primarily restricted to the population of Spain.

Kaspersky Security Expert, Alexander Ermin, said that cyber criminals have tried for months, to exploit the global health crisis caused by the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, by launching phishing attacks and creating malware under the title "Corona", adding: "This is the first time that we see an attempt To exploit the crisis by banking Trojans, the worrying thing is that Ginp Trojan is very effective. Therefore, we encourage users of Android phones to be vigilant at the moment, and to deal with uncommon windows, web pages and messages about the virus. With suspicion rather than certainty. "
