After temperature measurement, disinfection, registration and other procedures, the reporter entered the construction site of Hanjiang Bay, Qiaokou District, Wuhan on the 24th and saw that the foundation of the Jianghan Seven Bridge Pier has been completed. It has been transferred to the superstructure steel beam installation stage. 17 have been completed. The staff of the China Railway Bridge Bureau are busy measuring the bridge and starting the on-site construction machinery for inspection.

Liu Shengqi, the manager of the Jianghan Seventh Bridge Project Department of the China Railway Bridge Bureau, introduced that the bridge spans the Hanyang and Tongkou districts of Wuhan and is the seventh cross-river passage across the Han River in the city. The total length of the bridge is about 2754 meters, and the main bridge is 672 meters long. It adopts a steel truss arch bridge structure, of which the main span is 408 meters long, making it the second most similar bridge in China. When completed, it will effectively alleviate the traffic pressure on the Second Ring Line of Wuhan City crossing the Han River.

Liu Shengqi said that as Wuhan's recent epidemic situation gradually improved, the project resumed work was approved. In order to accelerate the resumption of work, for the regions where Henan and other personnel gather, the project department uses a “point-to-point” chartered car to organize the construction workers to return to their posts, and other personnel will uniformly send and pick up vehicles after entering Wuhan. At the same time, the project department set up isolated observation rooms for returnees, and established contacts with the designated hospitals in the territories. Before the project resumed work, the epidemic prevention mechanism, personnel inspection, material preparation, environmental killing, and safe production were in place, and epidemic prevention materials were stored for one month.
