As of 24:00 on March 23, 91 cases of newly diagnosed new coronary pneumonia were reported in Foshan. Cumulative follow-up has verified 1173 close contacts and 84 medical observations.
Of the 91 confirmed cases, 84 were discharged, 7 were treated in the hospital, and there were no deaths.

Case 1:
A 23-year-old female patient, a Chinese national and an American student, previously lived in Guicheng Street, Nanhai District. The patient entered Hong Kong from Shenzhen Bay Port on March 18 and was diagnosed after returning to Foshan.

Before March 17, study and live in New York, USA.
On March 17, boarding CX845 flight from New York, USA, arrived at Hong Kong International Airport at 5:06 on the 18th, and then took a taxi to Shenzhen Bay Port for entry. On the same day, a special car was taken back from Shenzhen to the Foshan centralized isolation point from Shenzhen, and the resident doctor collected nasopharyngeal swabs and sent them to the disease control department for testing.
On the morning of March 19, the disease control department reported that the patient was negative for New Coronavirus, and the patient continued to receive medical observation at the isolation point.
At noon on March 21, the patient developed fever symptoms. Nanhai Hospital of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital was admitted to the hospital for isolation and treatment, and a throat swab was collected and sent to a third-party testing agency for testing.
At 7 o'clock on March 23, the third-party testing agency reported that the patient was positive for New Crown Virus nucleic acid, and then transferred to Foshan Fourth People's Hospital for isolation and treatment. In the afternoon of the same day, the CDC completed a review test and the results were also positive. After consultation with experts, a new case of corona pneumonia (mild) was confirmed, and the condition is stable at present.
After preliminary judgment, it has not produced close contacts in China. Close contacts of international flights are under investigation and follow-up through the relevant investigation mechanism.
Case 2:
A 51-year-old male patient from Hubei who works in Guangdong. The patient returned to Hubei in January and returned to Foshan on March 19.
● Patients' main trajectory before diagnosis:
On January 15, the patient and his friend drove back from Foshan to their home in Xianning, Hubei, by car.
From January 16 to March 16, the patient lived in Xianning, Hubei.
In the morning of March 17th, the patient and his friend returned to the rental house in Huiyang District, Huizhou by car.
From March 17th to 18th, the patient was in the rental house and did not go out.
At 7 o'clock on March 19, the patient departed from Huizhou by car and returned to Dongcun, Nanzhuang Town, Chancheng District, Foshan, around 10 o'clock. After taking a normal temperature measurement at the village entrance, the landlord will bring the basic information to the village committee for registration, handle the home isolation procedures, conduct health monitoring on the patient, and take the body temperature every morning and evening.
On March 20th, the landlord of the patient took his temperature and found fever. The patient went to the Foshan First People's Hospital Chancheng Hospital for treatment. According to his travel history, the hospital admitted him to the hospital for isolation and treatment, and samples were sent to a third-party testing agency for a new crown. Viral nucleic acid detection, and a series of chest CT, blood tests and other tests.
On March 22, a third-party testing agency reported that the patient's nucleic acid test result for NDV was positive. On the same day, the patient was transferred to the Fourth People's Hospital of Foshan for isolation and treatment. The throat swab test result of the Chancheng Center for Disease Control was positive.
On March 23, the city and provincial CDCs successively reviewed and the results of the new crown virus nucleic acid tests were positive. That evening, the Fourth People's Hospital of Foshan City held a consultation. The expert group confirmed the patient's epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, and chest imaging findings, and confirmed a new coronary pneumonia case (general type). The patient is currently in stable condition.
A total of 8 people who were in close contact with the province were screened. After sampling and testing, the nucleic acids of the new crown virus were all negative.
