The Dubai Economic Department said that the decision to close commercial activities in the emirate will start from tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25 until the date of April 8, and that the decision includes all commercial centers, shopping centers, and open markets that include selling fish, vegetables and meat, except for the vegetable and meat markets for wholesale and supply. Stressing that the decision comes in line with the decision of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the National Emergency and Crisis Authority to limit the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19) and follow-up to previous circulars. And spring camps, stressing that shops will be allowed to engage in e-commerce activity.

Dubai Economy confirmed that the decision includes all shops in open markets except bakeries, car repair workshops, workshops, clothes launderers and technical and electrical service providers for buildings. The decision also includes all cafes, cafeterias and eating and drinking outlets except for hotel establishments that provide meals for guests only and also auto requests and delivery service Home dining and food transportation.

Dubai Economy explained that the decision also includes entertainment and electronic games halls, cinemas and massage and spa centers. Noting that all grocery and supermarket stores, cooperative societies and pharmacies are excluded from the decision, calling on consumers and the public to follow the requirements of sterilization and social divergence, confirming that they will implement inspection campaigns on the markets to ensure the commercial establishments adhere to the decisions.
