The British network of "Lyon" restaurants for fast healthy meals announced on Monday that it will turn its branches into small stores and provide its customers with the ability to purchase their needs via the internet in light of the authorities' closure of restaurants in a precautionary measure to cordon the outbreak of the new Corona virus.
The series, which includes 65 stores in Britain, said in a statement that its new website will allow customers to order food delivery to their homes similar to the supermarkets in the country.

It is possible through the site that starts work on Wednesday to buy high-quality ready-to-eat foods in addition to meat and other foods that consumers can eat or store at home, according to the statement.
"Currently, on the one hand we have conflicting restaurants and their crews are ready to provide food to consumers, and on the other hand, supermarkets with empty shelves," said Leon Vincent, founder and chief executive officer, John Vincent, in comments reported by the statement.

"The balance is lost by consumers and people threatened with losing their jobs and companies," he added.
Restrictions imposed by the British government in the face of the country's fast-growing Covid-19 virus have forced restaurants to stop serving food at its branches.
The giant American "McDonald's" chain decided to close all its branches in Britain and Ireland, as of Monday evening.
Also, the "Nandos", "Subway" and "Costa Coffee" networks announced the closure of all branches due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus.
