CaixaBank is ahead of the Government and announces that it will condone the payment of the rent to all those people who live in one of its properties and have been left without work or self-employed who have seen their activity decreased by more than 40% due to the coronavirus crisis.

The measure will take effect next April and will be articulated through its real estate subsidiary BuildingCenter. The aid will be in force until the end of the alarm period decreed by the Government is decreed.

The affected people will have to fill out a form in which they indicate if they are people with the right to avail themselves of this measure and, if they are, the entity will not issue the receipt for the month of April. Subsequently, you will have to provide supporting documentation.

BuildingCenter, a 100% CaixaBank company, is currently one of the companies in the real estate sector with the largest number of homes for rent, with a park of 21,000 homes with current rental contracts

CaixaBank frames this measure within its campaign # ContigoMásQueNunca, which encompasses the different initiatives that the entity is launching to help clients such as advancing the day of collecting pensions and avoiding queues at branches, the credit line of 25,000 million euros for SMEs and freelancers, among others.

The bank takes the measure in full debate within the government about the approval of a moratorium on the payment of rent to vulnerable groups similar to the one executed last week in the payment of mortgages.
