The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi directed the owners of restaurants, cafeterias, cafes and places to provide food meals not to use dishes, glass cups and metal spoons, and to commit to using single-use dishes, cups and spoons.
The department also demanded in a circular issued today by the owners of restaurants, cafeterias, cafes and places to provide meals to perform all procedures of cleaning, sterilization and prevention on an ongoing basis for cooking equipment and food transport vehicles and places to prepare and serve meals through the use of sterilization materials and tools that are used once.
She noted that this circular comes in order to preserve public health and in the framework of supporting precautionary measures to counter the emerging Corona virus as a benefit 19.
The department noted the necessity to implement the circular urgently and immediately, noting the implementation of intensive inspection campaigns by the inspectors of the department to determine the application of the circular.
She warned that the legislation in force would be applied in case of any violation of the circular.
