Japan-South Korea Policy Dialogue March 11 at 5:19 on Unusual Developments Until Dawn

The policy dialogue between the Korean and Japanese governments on trade management, which began on the morning of October 10, was an unusual development that continued until the early of the morning of November 11.

The policy dialogue on trade control was held on a videoconference system linking Tokyo and Seoul in response to the Japanese government's strengthening of border measures in response to the spread of the new coronavirus.

The meeting began at around 10 am on the 10th, with Yoichi Iida, head of the Trade Management Division on the Japanese side, and Trade Policy Officer Lee Ho-hyun of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Resources attending on the Korean side. It was an unusual development that lasted until dawn on the 11th.

The policy dialogue was held in Tokyo last December for the first time in about three months, and the details have not been clarified.
