Emirates Airlines said it canceled its flights to and from some European destinations on February 10 due to the storm "Ciara" which is accompanied by strong winds.

The company stated that the canceled flights included EK43 / EK44: Dubai - Frankfurt - Dubai (EK53 / EK54: Dubai - Munich - Dubai) as well as (EK145 / EK146: Dubai - Amsterdam - Dubai) and (EK87 / EK88) : Dubai - Zurich - Dubai)

The airline said in a statement on its website that it was re-reservation for passengers affected by canceled flights, and invited passengers to check the status of their flights on emirates.com before heading to the airport.

"(Emirates Airlines) apologizes for any inconvenience caused, and assures that the safety of its passengers and crew members is always their top priority," she added.

Hundreds of flights and train connections in northwestern Europe were canceled on Monday because of the storm, after Sunday's storm hit Britain and Ireland, depriving tens of thousands of homes of electricity.
