“On the previous commercial basis, because we have a common market, we have the task of eliminating the contradictions,” Kozak said.

He specified that oil is sold on the Belarusian and Russian markets under the same conditions.

According to him, the Russian side cannot provide discounts, since for this it would be necessary to introduce state regulation of the oil market.

“Today, the question arose, because there was a demanding position, the provision of discounts. This means only one thing: if discounts are granted, it would be necessary to introduce state regulation of the oil market, which we cannot do, ”said Kozak.

The deputy head of the presidential administration said that Russia will contribute to the achievement of commercial agreements between consumers in Belarus and Russian oil companies.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced a violation by Moscow of oil supply obligations.
