The National Central Cooling Company (PSC), Tabreed, said it does not comment on rumors or speculation related to commercial deals, while affirming its commitment to the disclosure and transparency of the Securities and Commodities Authority and the Dubai Financial Market.
A spokesman for Tabreed told Emirates Today that no financial statements or deals will be disclosed except when they are completed in accordance with these regulations.
The Reuters news agency has reported that the National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed), listed on the Dubai Financial Market, is in talks in the pre-stage to purchase the district cooling activities of Emaar.
Reuters reported last May that Emaar appointed consultants, including Standard Chartered, to sell the activity as part of a broader plan to eliminate non-core activities.
Emaar said she did not comment on speculation, adding in an email: "When we get confirmation of what has been announced, we will provide more information."
