The Strasbourg court has granted an additional period of one month for the possible resumption of the Ascoval steel mill in Saint-Saulve, in the North.

The court of first instance in Strasbourg granted Wednesday a new deadline, until April 24, to the Ascoval steel mill in Saint-Saulve, in the North, for the search for a buyer, said Me Guilhem Brémond, lawyer of the company.

The court returned the case to seek solutions to the recovery of Ascoval, 281 employees, said Bremond, without commenting on the offers. Sources close to the case, those of British Steel and the specialist Italian special steel Calvi Networks, which provide for the full recovery of activity and staff, are considered particularly credible.
