The police launched an investigation after it was revealed that a hair dryer from Dyson, a world-renowned home appliance brand sold by a famous domestic influencer, was not genuine.
Influencer A, who has 200,000 followers, has been confirmed to have sold about 2,000 units by advertising on his SNS that "the product is a genuine parallel imported product."
The domestic selling price of the genuine product is about 500,000 won, but it has been confirmed that the product was sold for about 200,000 won cheaper.
Dyson Korea said, "As a result of self-verification, it was confirmed that the product was not a parallel imported product, but a counterfeit of unknown origin."
