A group of people who were handed over to trial for attempting to kidnap a man in his 20s in downtown Seoul were sentenced to prison in the first trial. 



The 12th Division of the Criminal Agreement of the Seoul Western District Court (Presiding Judge Dong-beom An) sentenced Mr. A and Mr. B to 4 years and 3 years in prison, respectively, for charges of violating the Act on Punishment (Joint Confinement), such as Special Robbery and Violence, etc. sentenced. 



In addition, Mr. C, who was also accused of storing stolen property, was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 1 year probation. 



In addition, the other two who were additionally charged with special robbery and other charges for participating in the kidnapping were sentenced to 4 years in prison and 2 years and 6 months in prison, respectively. 



Mr. A and others are suspected of attempting to kidnap a man in his 20s by force near an apartment complex in Yongsan-gu, Seoul at around 0:20 on August 15th. 



The victim who was kidnapped at the scene escaped by jumping out of a car running in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. 



The police, who started an investigation after a witness report, tracked down CCTV footage and arrested one of the gang members near the scene of the incident. 



The man is known to have stated in a police investigation that "the perpetrators and the victims have a debt relationship".



The judge said, "Mr. A and others are heavily responsible for imprisoning and assaulting victims and extorting property." The reason for the high sentence was explained.



Meanwhile, while investigating Mr. A and others, the police secured a statement that the victim was taking drugs and converted him to the suspect. 



In fact, the victim was arrested by the police after hiding at his girlfriend's house last September, and both her girlfriend and the victim tested positive for drugs and were arrested and charged with violating drug management.
