According to the police, Mr. A carefully watched Mr. B (74), who came to the bank window on the morning of the 27th of last month, withdrawing a large amount of cash.



Because it was strange that Mr. B, who was familiar with this bank's main customer, said, "My son is trying to make a real estate transaction, but he asked me to find money because the price was cheaper if I traded in cash."



After that, Mr. A directly contacted the number stored as 'son' in Mr. B's cell phone, but the suspicion did not disappear after the call.



Mr. A accompany him to Mr. B's house using his lunch break, and when he overheard Mr. B's phone call with a person named 'son' through the handset, he became convinced that it was a financial fraud and reported it to the police at around 2:20 pm that day.



As a result of the police officer's confirmation, it was revealed that Mr. B was deceived by voice phishing and withdrew cash.



Voice phishing suspects, known to be operating overseas servers, send a text message to the URL address with malicious code, and when the recipient taps the text, their contact information is automatically saved as 'son' and approaches the target of the crime. found to have been used.



A police official said, "As existing methods such as impersonating a financial institution do not work, recently, it is changing to a method of hacking mobile phones by sending URL addresses containing messages such as 'payment completed' and 'delivery completed' to unspecified elderly people."
