Two people in their 20s have been caught by the police for stealing 100 million won that a friend kept under the sink at home.

Gyeonggi Paju Police Station announced today (13th) that A (26) and B (26) were booked without detention on charges of special theft.

They are accused of stealing 100 million won in cash from Mr. C's house around noon on the 6th.

A, B, and C are all classmates from elementary school to high school.

Recently, Mr. A and Mr. B were receiving a debt reminder due to a loss from their virtual currency investment.

At that time, they heard that Mr. C won the lottery and received 90 million won, but he couldn't deposit it in the bank for personal reasons and kept it under the sink in the house along with other cash.

A and B, who decided to steal this money, called C on the day of the crime to confirm that they were not at home.

They induced Mr. C not to enter the house, saying, "Let's go play together" over the phone.

They entered the house by pressing the password on the front door, which they usually knew, and committed a crime.

The police received a report of theft and caught Mr. A and Mr. B through closed circuit (CC) TV investigations, etc.

Of the 150 million won, 45 million won was recovered, but 55 million won was found to be used for debt repayment.
