In response to the investigation, the suspect stated, ``There was one other incident,'' and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating whether this is related to a suspicious fire in which garbage at another nearby garbage collection site was burned.

The suspect who was arrested was Kazuo Uchida (58), who is unemployed and has no fixed residence.



According to the Metropolitan Police Department, it is suspected that around 9:30 a.m. on the 12th, a person used a lighter to set fire to garbage that had been put out at a collection point in front of an apartment building in Mukojima, Sumida Ward.



Employees of a nearby store noticed the fire and extinguished it, and there were no injuries.



During the investigation, he admitted to the charges and made statements such as, ``I was dissatisfied with the medical examination at the hospital and got angry, so I decided to set the garbage on fire.I also did one other incident.''



Approximately 10 minutes before this fire, there was a suspicious fire burning garbage at another collection point about 500 meters away, and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating whether this is related.

A manager at a supermarket near the scene said, ``The fire was about 1 meter high, so I brought a bucket and a fire extinguisher from the store and put out the fire.''
