There was a report from the CEO of the company that he had been sexually harassed for several years.

After reporting, they were promised to fire the CEO, but the perpetrator moved to another position and remained with the company, and the victim was told to work from home.

Reporter Hong Seung-yeon covered the details of the report.

The pain started as the number of face-to-face work increased with Mr. A, who works as a professional at a global ship inspection company, and Mr. B, the representative of the Korean branch.

[Mr A / Victim: Come to the hotel in Gyeongju when my wife is not here.

You kept saying it over and over again.

One time he walked into my office and said, 'Who are you, let's have a lover'.]

I scratched the palm of my hand to shake hands and asked if I knew what it meant.

[Mr A/Victim: There is a saying that it means 'let's sleep together'.

That displeasure and shame, and why do I have to work while being treated like this?]

I tried to express my displeasure, but the harassment continued, such as yelling and yelling at work.

A was not the only victim.

[C/Victim (Resigned): When I entered the room, I naturally patted my shoulders, and it was unpleasant, but I couldn’t say anything because the CEO did it.]

As this happened for over 3 years, Mr. A, impatient, reported the damage to the head office in 2020. I did.

After one year, the head office said that it would dismiss Mr. B from his position as CEO, and instead said that he would remain with the company until the contract period.

However, a manager-level position was suddenly newly created, and Mr. B took his place, and last month, when he should have resigned, the company renewed his contract with Mr. B.

Another manager said to Mr. A, who raised the problem.

[Mr A/Victim: (When Mr. B comes out) The company tells me to just stay home.

I think it's unfair and why do I have to get out of this situation...

.]

The headquarters, which remained silent on Mr. A's request for additional measures, told SBS reporters that "the case is still being investigated, and we will do our best to support the victims."

Mr. B said that he had yelled at work, but he did not molest him.

Mr. A recently filed a complaint with the Ministry of Employment and Labor against the company and the perpetrator, and is awaiting investigation.
