A man in his 50s has been arrested by police in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, after threatening a woman on her way to work in the morning with a knife and detaining her.
The Pohang Southern Police Station announced today (12th) that they had arrested a woman in her 50s on charges of robbery (special robbery) against a woman on the way to work.
On the morning of the 5th, Mr. A threatened Mr. B, a woman in her 40s, who was leaving the house to work from an apartment in Nam-gu, Pohang, around 8:10 a.m. on the morning of the 5th, and then went into Mr. B's house, detained him for 3 hours, and had him get a credit card loan over the phone. He is charged with transferring 10,000 won to his account.

Victim B, afraid of being threatened by Mr. A, delayed reporting and reported to the police on the 7th, two days after the incident.
After receiving the report, the police arrested Mr. A in an apartment in Buk-gu, Pohang, around 6:20 pm on the same day after tracking CCTV and account.
Person A is known to have stated in the police investigation that "I committed a crime to pay off debts."
The police are investigating the exact motive for the crime and whether there are additional crimes against A.
