They deceived Colombian women with promises of work and residence in Spain, but they ended up being
enslaved and offering sexual services
in an apartment in Torrejón de Ardoz.
The National Police, in a joint operation with the Civil Guard, has dealt a blow to trafficking in women by arresting all the members of a criminal organization that
profited from human trafficking
and that favored irregular immigration.
"They offered them the flight, the paperwork... In the end, when they arrived in Spain they told them that
they had incurred a debt of 4,000 euros
that they had to pay off," police sources tell this newspaper, adding that these young women, previously, They received a kind of 'training' to pass through Barajas without raising suspicions: "They were given instructions such as not to wear too many clothes or to say that they came with the intention of staying a few days,
so as not to give clues at the controls
."
In total , 12 people
have been arrested, 10 men and two women
, of different nationalities: Colombians, Venezuelans, Spanish and Dominicans. All of them were between 21 and 41 years old.

In this operation, the agents
managed to free 10 victims of this mafia
, who were forced, through the use of violence, to engage in prostitution.
These were sometimes taken by drivers to the clients' homes to perform their home services. After finishing them, the drivers returned the girls to their property in Torrejón de Ardoz. As police sources point out, "the organizers tried to ensure that these transfers were carried out
without excessive delay
in order to be able to continue with the
sex work uninterrupted
."
It was the exploiters who were in charge of making contacts with clients, establishing the prices of each service without prior agreement with the victim. They also provided narcotic substances at the request of the client, and offered them to the female victims
to reduce their need for rest
and thus cause them to work longer hours to satisfy the demand for sexual services.
Lastly, and almost carrying out the most important weight of this band, were the collectors. These had the function of looking for
women with a precarious standard of living in Colombia
to deceive them with the premise of an improvement in life in our country. Something that never came.
The investigation began last October, when the paths of the National Police and the Armed Institute crossed while investigating criminal acts related to human trafficking. The investigations revealed that all the victims,
about 50 in total
, according to police sources in GRAN MADRID, shared the same pattern, being in slavery.
The authorities ended up demonstrating the existence of a perfectly ordered network. During the searches of the homes, in addition to computer equipment, two firearms were seized:
a large submachine gun and a pistol
. For their part, those detained are charged with crimes for belonging to a criminal organization, human trafficking for sexual exploitation, money laundering and crimes against public health.
