Singer Kim Gun-mo (53), who was accused of sexual assault, was dismissed from prosecution by the prosecution.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office for Women and Children Crime Investigation (Prosecutor Kim Won-ho) announced today (18th) that they had not prosecuted Mr.

Person A, who filed a complaint with the prosecution in December 2019, claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Mr. Kim at a pub in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in 2016.

This claim of Mr. A was first raised through the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute', which is run by lawyer Kang Yong-seok.

In response, Kim's agency sued A for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act in January last year.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station, which took over the case from the prosecution and investigated it, gave an opinion on indictment against Kim and sent it to the prosecution, but it is known that the prosecution found that the charges were not recognized as a result of examining the relevant statements and evidence.

The prosecution also added that the disposition of non-prosecution went through the resolution of the Prosecutor's Office Citizens' Committee.
