A person in his 50s who was sentenced to 8 years in prison in the first trial for injuring a citizen who stopped him while urinating in a trash can at a supermarket was increased in the appeals trial.

The 5th Criminal Division of the Seoul High Court (Chief Judges Kang-Yeol Yoon, Jae-Young Park, and Sang-Cheol Kim) sentenced Mr.

It also ordered the installation of a location tracking electronic device (electronic anklet) for 10 years.

Person A is charged with stabbing Mr. B in the face and neck several times with a weapon he had when a citizen B stopped him while passing urine in a trash can near the parking lot at a mart in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul in January.

B fled the scene, reported it to the police and was transported to the hospital.

Although life is not affected, it is said that he suffered major injuries around his face.

In addition, Mr. B, who has worked as a chef for over 20 years, lost his taste due to an injury, and it is known that he can no longer cook due to trauma with the knife.

At the time of the first trial, Mr. A admitted to the crime and claimed that he had no intention to kill, but the court judged that the murder was intentional and sentenced him to 8 years in prison.

Mr. A, who submitted the appeal, emphasized again that there was no intention to kill in the second trial, and also insisted that the mental and physical weakness should be recognized due to the usual mental illness.

The court of appeals said, "Considering that Mr. A has been receiving psychiatric treatment for the past 6 years, his mental and physical weakness is recognized," but rather increased the sentence, stating that the crime was bad.

The court continued, "The victim's damage is severe, and the victim's wife and young children who were with him are also complaining of extreme psychological pain," the court said. It threatens safety and imposes a heavier sentence than the original trial court,” he added.

Meanwhile, it is known that Mr. A has a history of being punished 17 times for crimes such as rape, habitual theft, and violence since he was a teenager.
