SBS coverage confirmed that the CEO of a famous Chinese restaurant, Din Tai Fung, is being tried for a long period of time for illegally distributing millions of frozen dumplings that are not certified by the food safety management standards, so-called HACCP HACCP.



The Food and Drug Criminal Department of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office indicted three people, including Din Tai Fung CEO Kim Mo, on charges of violating the Food Sanitation Act in August.



Prosecutors said that Din Tai Fung returned the HACCP certification in January 2016 to reduce the cost of maintaining the HACCP certification, and illegally distributed 2.4 million frozen dumplings worth 3.6 billion won in sales for 3 years and 7 months. I'm watching.



In response, Din Tai Fung explained that the executives at the time did not properly report to the upper management, so the management did not recognize the facts, and that they were late in the internal audit process before the investigation by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and took follow-up measures.



Contrary to the prosecution's indictment, he claimed that he did not take any unfair advantage and that the frozen dumplings in question are food that does not require HACCP certification, and that he will continue to fight legally.



Recently, while the first trial of this case was held at the Seoul Central District Court, the fact that the chief prosecutor in charge moved to a lawyer at a large law firm in charge of defending Din Tai Fung was also revealed in June while the investigation was in progress. There is.
