The Hanam Police Department in Gyeonggi Province said it was arresting and investigating A, a Vietnamese woman in her 20s, for beating her three-year-old son.
Mr. A visited a hospital in Gangdong-gu, Seoul with his son B, on the afternoon of the 11th, and was caught by a police officer who received a report from the hospital suspicious that his child had a bruise.
Group B was diagnosed with rupture of some organs and is currently being treated at a hospital in Gyeonggi-do, but it is known that there is no harm to life.
The police will decide whether to apply for an arrest warrant as soon as the investigation of Mr. A is completed.
