Two six and eight-year-old girls perished in a house fire in Limas, near Lyon, on Wednesday and Thursday night.
Their parents, who were sleeping with their three other children and alerted the emergency services, were slightly injured in the fire.
An investigation has been opened.

Psychological care
The emergency services, alerted by the parents who slept upstairs with their three other children, aged four to nine, according to the newspaper, were unable to save them. The parents were hospitalized for minor injuries; the three children unharmed, shocked, are the subject of psychological care, said the firefighters. An investigation was opened into the circumstances of the incident by the Villefranche-sur-Saône prosecutor's office.
